On November 30, 2017, Researcher at the Eurasian Research Institute Omirbek Hanayi Held a Seminar Titled “Central Asia in China’s Foreign Policy”.

During his seminar, Omirbek Hanayi touched upon the geostrategic and geopolitical importance of the Central Asian region for China, and the current state of China's foreign policy in Central Asia. Moreover, he talked about the trade and economic relations between China and Central Asia, and China's soft power policy in Central Asia.

On January 26, 2017, Research Fellow of the Eurasian Research Institute, Kanat Makhanov, Gave a Seminar Titled “Policy of Economic Diversification in Kazakhstan”.

Kanat Makhanov outlined the structure of the economy and manufacturing sector of Kazakhstan and the effects of the Dutch disease on Kazakhstan's economy. Looking at the economic structure of Kazakhstan between 2000 and 2015, he stated that the share of the service sector had increased over the years and it had mostly reduced the share of the agricultural sector.
