On December 15, 2016, Daniyar Kosnazarov from Narhoz University Quality Assurance and Strategic Analysis Department gave a seminar titled “Key Strategic Trends in Central Asia 2016”.

Daniyar Kosnazarov began the seminar with congratulations on the 25th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence. Kosnazarov noted that despite the decline of US influence in Central Asia, it was still going on. During the seminar, he discussed issues relating to the countries in the region such as the Ukraine issue, and the impact of embargoes imposed by the West on Russia.
November 24, 2016

On November 24, 2016, Research Fellow of the Eurasian Research Institute Zhulduz Baizakova gave a seminar titled “Current US Security Assistance to Central Asian States”.

In a seminar titled “Current US Security Assistance to Central Asian States” Juldyz Baizakova gave a detailed overview of the projects and programs in the military and security fields. Referring to the reasons for the changes in the program budgets, Baizakova said that the United States aimed to maintain security and stability in Central Asia

On November 3, 2016, Junior Research Fellow of the Eurasian Research Institute Zhengizkhan Zhanaltay gave a seminar on the topic of “Developments in Migration and Remittance Flow in Central Asia”.

During the seminar Zhengizkhan Zhanaltay talked about the number of labor migrants from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan migrated to Russia looking for job opportunities, the amount of remittances and migration policies.

On June 23, 2016, Junior Research Fellow of the Eurasian Research Institute Aidana Arynbek gave a seminar on the topic of “Constructivism and Russia’s foreign policy in the Caspian Sea region”.

During the seminar titled “Constructivism and Russia’s foreign policy in the Caspian Sea region” Aidana Arynbek touched upon the theory of constructivism, the method of analyzing and defining international relations according to Alexander Wendt’s definition of constructivism.

On April 7, 2016 Dr. Zhenis Kembayev from KIMEP University’s School of Law gave a seminar on the topic of “Regional Integration in Eurasia: Problems and Perspectives”.

During the seminar, Dr. Zhenis Kembayev provided information regarding the process and different types of integration. Moreover, he separated integration process into two kinds which are basic and advanced form, and mentioned that basic form includes free trade agreements such as NAFTA and advanced form includes Customs union and economic unions.

On May 26, 2016, Junior Research Fellow of the Eurasian Research Institute Daniyar Nurbayev gave a seminar on the topic of “Current Development in Kazakhstan’s Banking System”.

During the seminar on the topic of “Current Development in Kazakhstan's Banking System” Daniyar Nurbayev touched upon the problems being faced by banks, the causes of the crisis in banking sector in 2008, and the current developments in the banking system.

Dr. Shahid Anjum in his seminar titled "Financial Crisis, investment and Country Risk Calculations" mainly touch upon the definition of risk factors and difficulties created by the extremely values in calculating the financial data.

The Eurasian Research Institute held a roundtable titled “The Energy Security Paradox in Central Asia: Independence in an Interdependent Region” on April 8, 2016.

During the roundtable speakers from Kazakhstan, China, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan presented detailed information about their countries, addressing the issue of energy security from different angles.

On March 1, 2016 Gazi University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of International Relations, Assoc. Prof. Kursad Turan gave a seminar on the topic of “Balance of Power in the Middle East”.

In his seminar Assoc. Prof. Kursad Turan mainly touched upon the international relations theories related with balance of power and provided detailed analysis on how global and local powers approached international events, which mainly occurred in the Middle East.
