Caspian Energy Security: Issues and Prospects

The Eurasian Research Institute invites to participate at the round table “Caspian Energy Security: Issues and Prospects”, which would be held on the 16th of March, 2015. Current situation in the world oil markets has gradually led to an increased geopolitical attention to the methods and facilities of Caspian energy security provision. During the round table invited speakers from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkey would determine the new trends in the energy strategies of the Caspian Sea states and discuss current features in the policymaking of regional and non-regional actors on Caspian energy issues. Dependency of the Caspian Sea littoral states to the oil and production increases importance of the timely response to the contemporary challenges in the energy security sphere. Therefore, it becomes important to study on the current situation in the development of the energy sector of the Caspian Sea states, determine current challenges and threats to the regional energy security and identify short, middle and long-term prospects for Caspian energy security issues.
