The Eurasian Research Institute invites you to participate in the Economy, Finance and Energy Studies Seminar titled “Paris Agreement on Climate Change” by Saule Akhmetkaliyeva on May 04, 2017. Climate change is one of the main global concerns of the post-industrial era. In this regard, the Paris Agreement on climate change was reached during the United Nations Climate Change Conference held in Paris in December 2015 and entered into force in November 2016. The agreement binds the parties to keep the temperature average below 2 oC above the preindustrial levels and to limit the temperature increase to 1.5 oC. The ratification process obliges each country to come up with its own plan of actions based on the current environmental situation of each nation. During the seminar climate change issues, process of adoption and ratification and expected outcomes of the agreement will be discussed.
