January 31, 2018, marked the end of Kazakhstan’s month-long presidency at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). Kazakhstan’s presidency in the world’s most important political body for the month of January was a culmination of its non-permanent UNSC membership and a significant milestone in its strategy of building a positive momentum for global peace and security, as well as its international reputation.
