Current US security assistance to Central Asian states

The Eurasian Research Institute invites you to participate in the Politics, Foreign Affairs and Security Studies Seminar titled “Current US security assistance to Central Asian states” by Zhulduz Baizakova to be held on November 24, 2016.

Since 2001 US has been regarding Central Asia as the allies in its war with Afghanistan. Today in 2016 after NATO withdrawal from Afghanistan some argue that the US role in neighboring Central Asia should diminish as well, including its security assistance programmes. This seminar would attempt to anwer one of the most important questions for Central Asian region: what will be the main driving forces for the US policy-making in shaping its Central Asian security strategy?
