ERI Central Asia Workshop

We are organizing a workshop on the topic of Visions of Future in Central Asia: 2030 and Beyond on March 30, 2018. The aim of this workshop is to bring together leading experts on this theme from a variety of disciplinary perspectives and organizations, but with a strong emphasis on the regional dynamics with an analytical stance.

On March 1, 2018, Dr. Shynar Zhumadilova, Lecturer at the International University of Information Technology, Held a Seminar Titled “Company’s Financial State Forecasting: Methods and Approaches”.

During the seminar, Shynar Zhumadilova gave detailed information about the company's financing process. She noted that company’s financial state forecasting included four steps: data collection and processing, modeling the financial state indicators, verification of the model adequacy and computing predicted values of the financial state indicators.
March 7, 2018

On March 7, 2018, Deputy Director of the Eurasian Research Institute Zhenghizkhan Zhanaltay Held a Seminar Titled “The Russian Labor Market: Prospects and Risks”.

At the seminar, Zhenghizkhan Zhanaltay gave detailed information on the population of Russia, the dynamics of birth rates and the number and age of able-bodied citizens. During the period of 2000-2015, the Russian population has dropped by 2.5 million to 144 million, and the working-age population has been gradually growing older.

On April 5, 2018, Dauren Aben, Senior Research Fellow of the Eurasian Research Institute, Held a Seminar Titled “Kazakhstan’s Fifth Military Doctrine: What’s New, What’s Due?”.

Dauren Aben told about the recent innovations in Kazakhstan’s fifth military doctrine and its impact on domestic and foreign policy of the country. He also stated that the frequent change of the military doctrine is largely due to political changes in the region and the emergence of new threats.

On May 10, 2017, Karlygash Kaimakbayeva, Director of the Central Scientific Library of the RSE “Gylym Ordasy”, Held a Seminar Titled “Rare Books of Ancient Times”.

At the seminar held on May 10, 2018, Assos. Prof. Dr. Vakur Sumer, Director of the Eurasian Research Institute delivered an introductory speech. In his speech, he noted that there were noble masterpieces from centuries in Kazakhstan, and that it was important to bring these books back to the public.
